Plant Flowers

A friend who grows flowers shared this and I just absolutely love it.

In her case, she is literally planting flowers because she makes arrangements from her own farm and sells them. They’re beautiful by the way.

But for you and me, what are we planting?

I mean, I want to plant some literal flowers and veggies this year, but aside from that…

What am I figuratively going to plant this year?

What seeds are you choosing to nurture and grow that you will see the fruits of?

Wanting to get healthy? What habits are you instilling today to get results?

Wanting to get out of debt? What changes are you making to your spending?

Wanting deeper relationships? Which friends are you calling and catching up with?

Wanting a more intimate relationship with God? How are you starting to be more intentional about spending time with Him?

I am the first to get overwhelmed with all the negative news out there and what 2024 might hold for us. It doesn’t look good.

But…

I can focus on what I am planting and know that what I put out there will grow. I can plant hope for those that are feeling hopeless. I can check in on my friends. I can pray for those who need a prayer. I can spend time reading my Bible (hello Day 16!!!). I can choose to exercise, even if just for 10 minutes.

I can plant some actual flowers along my chickens’ fence line.

So many things to plant this year.

I can’t wait to see what grows for each and everyone of us. What a beautiful garden that will be!
