Beauty on Display

Day 15 being consistent with reading the Bible and Day 5 of 7 in the challenge to myself to just reflect and write everyday.

And what a change.

I remember the first time I tried to read through the Bible, I was swimming and found myself thinking about the verses I had been reading earlier that day. Normally I’d be thinking about whatever tv show I was sucked into at the time or any personal drama that was happening, but not that day.

It is true that our brains will feast on what we feed it.

And to be honest, I don’t do a great job of that. I am the first to get sucked into politics, world events, etc.

But I am trying to read God’s word and save the other stuff for later. Kind of like eating your protein before dessert.

You just feel better.

And today…I felt better.

Today was gorgeous.

If you were anywhere in Middle Tennessee today, God’s beauty was on display.

The snow was everywhere and the sun was shining.

My husband suggested a hike down to the creek with the kids and it was just what we needed. I mean, how beautiful is this?

So today’s God shot is simple. It was seeing God’s beautiful creation and thanking Him for it.

Simple as that.
